Daily Forecast: When will the heat cool down?

The heat and humidity are here to stay for a while longer, according to FOX 35 meteorologist Brooks Garner. What's bringing the heat? How long will it last? When will we see rain? Brooks explains.

It's been another hot and humid day in Orlando and across Central Florida with the heat index – the feels like temperatures – ranging between 105 and 112 degrees. Make sure to stay hydrated and stay cool, especially if hanging out at the beaches, theme parks, or anywhere outside.

Showers and thunderstorms developed Wednesday afternoon, prompted some severe thunderstorm warnings to be issued.

Down in Kissimmee, several small planes were flipped at Kissimmee Gateway Airport, likely due to storms that moved through the area, officials said.
