Orlando Weather Forecast: March 21, 2024

Friday will see an increased chance for rain, sometimes heavy at times with the possibility of a storm or two.

The low temperature for Thursday night into Friday morning is expected to reach 65°F, while Friday's high will peak at 74°F.

FOX 35 has designated Friday as a "Weather Impact Day" for Central Florida. Waves of showers and storms are anticipated to affect the region. The inclement weather coincides with spring break, potentially disrupting outdoor plans.

Two distinct waves of precipitation are predicted: showers and non-severe storms are forecast in the morning, occurring between 3 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., followed by a midday break with possible sunny intervals. Subsequently, more showers and thunderstorms are expected in the evening across central Florida, with the severe storm risk projected to remain lower in south Florida.

BEACH FORECAST: Beach conditions are forecast to be unfavorable over the next few days. Rain chances persist from Friday into Saturday, accompanied by cloudy skies and gusty winds.

THEME PARK FORECAST: Visitors to theme parks are advised to bring rain gear and jackets on Friday and Saturday. Rain and storm activity are likely, and mostly cloudy conditions are expected on both days.

SATURDAY INTO NEXT WEEK: Looking ahead to Saturday and the following week, severe storms are forecast to stay south of central Florida, primarily affecting areas in south Florida. On Friday, there is a possibility of waterspouts, brief tornadoes, and damaging wind gusts along the southeast and southwest coasts of Florida. A cold front is anticipated to move through late Saturday afternoon, with sporadic showers or thunderstorms possible during the day.

Stubborn cloud cover will persist into Sunday as low pressure lingers offshore. Some areas, particularly along the Space Coast and northward, may experience low clouds, mist, and sprinkles along the immediate beaches on Sunday. However, sunny skies and warming temperatures are forecast for the following week.

Breezy conditions are anticipated throughout the weekend, with statewide winds gusting over 20 mph.
