They call him "Super Mario." With the 5th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft Thursday night, the Orlando Magic selected Mario Hezonja of FC Barcelona. The 6'8" 200 pound Shooting Guard/Small Forward is from Croatia. He was the youngest player ever to play in the Croatian Top Division at age 13!
"We wanted him," said Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan. "We just felt he was the best player available."
Hezonja is still in Europe and should be here in Orlando and introduced by the Magic around July 1st.
