The State Attorney's Office representing Orange and Osceola counties on Friday released new video of a van lock demonstration, part of an investigation into the death of a toddler whom police say was left inside a hot van at an Orlando-area daycare.

"This is the van that Myles Hill was found deceased in the back," an Orlando police detective is heard saying in the video, "and I'm going to attempt to exit the vehicle where the door was locked."

The investigator attempted to unlock all four doors of the van where the 3-year-old Hill died.

"Pressing up now, it' s very hard and difficult to push up. It's recessed in. Ow," he says as he struggles to open the driver's side door.  "If I use my thumb to do it -- I'm a 44-year-old man who weighs 195 pounds -- I'm using a great amount of force to get it open."

Hill weighed only 40 pounds. Police say he died after being left in the locked daycare van for 12 hours in the sweltering heat. The investigator struggles with all the doors as well as the hatch.

"So essentially with all the doors locked with Myles exposed to all the conditions he was exposed to is not able to override the locks manually by lifting up, he is essentially locked inside unable to exit."

"My baby didn't stand a chance. He didn't stand a chance at all," said Brenda Watts, the child's great-grandmother and legal guardian.

She cried as we showed her the video and wondered why this van was even allowed to transport daycare children.

"I don't even think it should have been on the road at all," she said crying.

She hopes this never happens to another child.

"I want justice to be served and whoever is involved to be punished."

Pictures in the file show Hill laying in the seat located in the last row. Police said temperatures got up to 144 degrees inside the van.
