Orange County tourism tax revenue hits new record for November
Orange County collected more than $31 million in tourist development taxes in November, marking the highest revenue ever recorded for that month. The figure represents a 7% increase compared to the same period last year.
ORLANDO, Fla. - Orange County collected more than $31 million in tourist development taxes in November, marking the highest revenue ever recorded for that month.
The figure represents a 7% increase compared to the same period last year.
"Visitation was strong in November in Orlando, especially when the weather up north is so bad — it’s something that attracts a lot of people down here. You also had a number of events," said Orange County Comptroller Phil Diamond.

Diamond added that holiday events across Central Florida also contributed to the surge in tourism and tax collections.
