Need a pet? Orange County Animal Services waives adoption fees for senior pets
ORLANDO, Fla. - Are you looking to add a cat or dog to the family during the holidays? Orange County Animal Services is waiving its adoption fees for senior pets though the end of December.
The shelter has more than 30 senior pets – those at least seven years old or older, and would like to find their forever homes.
"Senior pets tend to get ‘stuck’ here with little interest from potential adopters," said Diane Summers, manager for OCAS, in a statement.
"We want to help them find a home and ensure they are comfortable by giving them a free bed."
The shelter is located off of Conroy Road, next to the Mall at Millenia. More information on the shelters available pets, services and programs can be found here.

Meet "Skipper"
Skipper came to the shelter in June and not one person has had interest in adopting him, the shelter said, so they're running a promotion to hopefully meet him and draw the interest of a potential family.
On "Skipper Saturday," Dec. 14, Skipper will be in one of the shelter's play areas where potential adopters can hang out with him and get to know his personality.
According to the shelter, Skipper is described as affectionate, loves treats, and would need some additional training to perfect his manners.
