A person has died after an apparent "accident" at Camping World Stadium this week, according to the Orlando Police Department.

A spokesperson for Orlando police said it was made aware that someone had been injured at the stadium and that the person later died at the hospital. Orlando police are conducting a death investigation, which is standard procedure.

Few other details have been released. It is now known what happened, how the person was injured, or their name.

Crews have been at Camping World Stadium presumably to set up and prepare for the 2024 Electric Daisy Carnival, also known as EDC, a huge electronic dance music festival. That festival will be held Nov. 8-10 at Camping World Stadium.

It's not known if the person hurt was connecting to the festival. FOX 35 reached out to organizers on Thursday for comment.

Camping World Stadium is owned by the City of Orlando. FOX 35 has reached out to a spokesperson for the city to see if they have more information.
