One dead after being t-boned in Cocoa crash

A deadly crash closed parts of U.S. 1 closed in Cocoa on Thursday.

Crews worked on Thursday night to re-open U.S. 1 after closing at 6:30 p.m. because two cars crashed. 

Fox 35 reporter Lara Greenberg was told that one vehicle was stopped at a stop sign and pulled out into the road, but did not see another car coming. The car t-boned the vehicle. The driver pulling out into the road has passed away. The other driver is expected to be okay, as well as the two passengers in that car. Everybody involved in the crash was taken to the hospital nonetheless. 

 


 

The Florida Highway Patrol says that this was not the first time that a deadly crash has happened at this intersection. People need to slow down and take a good look to be sure nothing is coming.
