Florida's Turnpike reopens in Orange County after multi-vehicle crash, troopers say
ORLANDO, Fla. - The northbound lanes of Florida's Turnpike are back open after a multi-vehicle crash shut down the area just east of Clermont shortly before midnight on Wednesday.
The Florida Highway Patrol said troopers responded to the scene of the crash, which involved five cars and a semi-trailer truck and snarled traffic just north of the interchange with State Road 50 in Winter Garden (Exit 272). According to an FHP spokesperson, there were no fatalities at the time troopers arrived at the scene.
The roadway reopened at 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
