Silver Alert: Missing Florida man, 73, likely traveling in this Jeep Wrangler, deputies say

The Lake County Sheriff's Office is asking for the community's help in locating a missing 73-year-old man.

What we know:

Michael Demarino was reported missing from his home on Cedarwood Way in Clermont on Monday, Feb. 10, shortly after 6:15 p.m. He was last seen wearing a grey striped shirt, oversized black shorts, and black and white slippers. 

Demarino is 5 feet and 8 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds. He has black and grey shoulder-length hair, brown eyes, and a thick beard.

Demarino may be traveling in a 2020 black Jeep Wrangler, bearing Ohio tag 486XBV (Cardinal specialty plate), and could be in the Orlando area.

What is a Silver Alert?

A Florida Silver Alert has been issued for Demarino. It is used to find missing individuals who are experiencing irreversible cognitive decline, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

Officials said Demarino may be disoriented, confused, and forgetful.

What we don't know:

Detectives do not know where he could be headed.
