Thousands of vehicles have been recalled recently, involving models from Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Audi.

Mercedes-Benz recall
The following vehicles are included in the recall:
- 2021-2022 Mercedes-Maybach S 580 4MATIC
- 2022-2022 Mercedes-Maybach S 680 4MATIC
- 2021-2022 Mercedes-Benz S 500
- 2021-2023 Mercedes-Benz S 580 4MATIC
- 2023-2023 Mercedes-Benz S 580e 4MATIC
Dig deeper:
Mercedes-Benz has determined that, on the above-named models, the brake hose on the front axle might leak over time with use in hot and humid environments.
Why you should care:
This could cause the brake fluid to leak, which might lead to reduced braking performance.
Timeline:
Dealers will be notified of the recall on March 3, 2025. Owners will be notified of the campaign before April 25, 2025.
What's next:
An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will replace the brake hoses on the front axle of the affected vehicles.
