Melbourne Police looking for suspects in early morning shooting that left one person injured

One person was injured during an early morning shooting at a Melbourne apartment complex and police are asking for the public's help locating the alleged suspects.

A little after 1:15 am on Thursday morning, multiple 911 callers reported shots fired in the area of Josh Ct and Rocket Ln which is located in the Reserves of Melbourne Apartment Complex. 

When officers arrived on scene they discovered evidence of a shooting and a victim was later identified after admitting to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Police are still on scene as the investigation remains active.

Officials believe the suspects are two black males and are asking residents who may have security cameras to check their footage from midnight to about 1:30 a.m. going from January 1 to January 2.

The incident occurred near the far northwest section of the complex.
