OCHOPEE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A record-setting python was caught in the Big Cypress National Preserve.
In a Facebook post, officials said the female python was over 17 feet long and weighed a whopping 140 pounds. Inside the snake's stomach, officials said they found 73 developing eggs.
The post said she is the largest python ever caught from Big Cypress National Preserve and was captured using a new approach to finding pythons.
