OAKLAND PARK, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - The Broward County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested the man seen on video violently swinging a samurai sword at a jogger in Oakland Park.
Curtis Miller, 54, was reportedly angry because the thought "he had the rights to a heavy-duty dump cart in a bulk trash pile he had been perusing" before Todd Beavers, the jogger, saw it and pushed it away as he ran, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Home surveillance video captured the incident on July 15th. Beavers was reportedly being followed by Miller in a white pickup truck after taking the dump cart as he jogged back home.
The video shows Beavers dodging swings by the sword allegedly swung by Miller. Beavers wasn't hurt and Miller eventually retreated.
Authorities say a tip to Broward County Crime Stoppers led to Miller's arrest at his North Lauderdale home this week.
