BIBB COUNTY, Ga. - Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators responded to a person shot in the 900 block of Tenney Avenue shortly before 6 a.m. Thursday.
Investigators met with the victim, 24-year-old Marvin Leon Cooper III. Cooper had been shot once in the left leg.
It was reported by Cooper that he was walking through Alphabet City when a few subjects dressed as “clowns” jumped out of a vehicle and started shooting.
After further questioning, Cooper admitted to lying about being shot by clowns. Cooper stated he had been shot by an unknown male after the male asked him if he had any drugs. Cooper stated he responded “no,” turned to walk away and was shot. Cooper stated he did not know the location of the incident or the description of the male.
Cooper is listed in stable condition at Navicent Health Hospital. No further information is available on the suspect.
