ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Orlando police officers on Tuesday arrested a man described by law enforcement as a violent sexual predator from Illinois who has been residing in Central Florida.
Joseph Thomas Paul Moore, 31, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Orlando's tourist district, off of International Drive.
According to a police report, the woman -- who is visiting from Ohio -- said she was walking to her hotel from a bar early Tuesday morning. That's when she said she started talking to three people walking a dog. One man continued walking behind her, offering to show her a short cut to her hotel.
The man took her to a dark field, where police say he attacked and sexually assaulted her. The woman eventually escaped, running to a resort for help.
Moore is charged with sexual assault and kidnapping.
