'LivePD' airs arrests of 2 men accused of beating Pasco teen
NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (FOX 13) - Pasco sheriff's deputies captured two men wanted for the February beating and robbing of a teen as he walked home from school, and their arrests were caught on "LivePD" cameras.
Deputies arrested Trenton and Khristian Schreffler thanks to a tip from their mother's boyfriend. They are believed to be two of the four men accused of following and attacking a 15-year-old boy in New Port Richey on the afternoon of Feb. 20.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office had previously arrested 21-year-old Austin Emanuel a week after the attack, and arrested Justin Schreffler on March 3.
Stephanie Byrd, whose son was injured in the attack, said the family is relieved all of the suspects have been apprehended.
""We're so happy. Now we can go outside knowing that they're caught and it's just a relief to our whole family," Byrd told FOX 13.
The attack was captured on home surveillance cameras in the neighbhorhood.
Video showed two men getting out of a teal pickup truck as they followed the teen on foot. The men then attacked the boy as he turned onto Overton Dr. near Pensdale Dr. in New Port Richey.
Two more men soon joined in on the attack, which left the teen with a fractured jaw and three missing teeth. The suspects stole the victim's cellphone and money.
