JetBlue plane landing gear malfunction

JetBlue flight 29 had problems with its front-end landing gear as it arrived in The Bahamas on Friday afternoon. 

The plane took off from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.  Rescue officials sprayed the plane with foam upon landing around 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

JetBlue released a statement which said in part, "JetBlue flight #29 from Washington National Airport (DCA) to Nassau, Bahamas (NAS) reported a landing gear malfunction prior to arrival. The aircraft landed in Nassau utilizing the EMBRAER 190 aircraft's rear gear, with its nose gear partially extended. Response crews met the aircraft on the runway to ensure the safety of those onboard."

No one was injured.
