'Jeopardy!' icon Alex Trebek stamp unveiled by USPS

A new stamp honoring "Jeopardy!" legend Alex Trebek has been released by the U.S. Postal Service.
This new forever stamp debuted on July 22, on what would have been Trebek’s 84th birthday. A ceremony was held in Culver City, California, on Monday to unveil the stamp.
Consumers can get the stamps at the post office for $14.60 for a book of 20.
The stamps feature the popular TV show’s blue game board with the categories "entertainment," "game show hosts," "famous Alexes" and "forever stamps."

There are clues on the 20 stamps that all have the same wording: "This naturalized U.S. citizen hosted the quiz show 'Jeopardy!' for 37 seasons."
And the correct response on the stamp, "Who is Alex Trebek?," is upside down under the answer and next to the words "Forever USA."
"Millions of Americans invited Alex Trebek into their living rooms each weeknight," Michael Elston, Secretary of the USPS Board of Governors, said in a company release. "After thousands of shows over 37 seasons, he was someone we trusted and felt like we knew. And with his intelligence and wit, he made it cool to be smart."
Last month, the current "Jeopardy!" host Ken Jennings announced news of the stamp in a social media post giving fans a glimpse of what it would look like. "I’m excited to announce that the next icon to receive a stamp will be our very own Alex Trebek."
Trebek was 80 years old when he died in 2020 after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis, and hosted the beloved game show since 1984.
