VOLUSIA COUNTY - Hurricane Joaquin may be hundreds of miles off the coast of Florida, but it's already brought rough surf to the beaches.
Officials said beach-goers should watch out for dangerous conditions the weekend of October 3. Volusia County Beach Patrol was expecting waves to get over 8-feet at time. They said the water is very rough and unsettled and swimmers should be mindful of strong rip currents.
Beach Patrol said you should be careful even after the storm passes.
