Resident, officer hospitalized after fire
A resident and a DeLand police officer were taken to the hospital following an overnight house fire. The officer was treated for smoke inhalation and released. The extent of injuries the resident sustained in the fire were not immediately released.
DELAND, Fla. - A police officer responding to an overnight house fire in DeLand was taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation, according to police. He has since been treated and released.
The person living inside the home that caught fire was also taken to a hospital. Their condition is unknown.

Crews said the fire broke out at a home located at 1367 Hensley Drive. FOX 35 News is working to learn what caused the fire.
