Resident, officer hospitalized after fire

A resident and a DeLand police officer were taken to the hospital following an overnight house fire. The officer was treated for smoke inhalation and released. The extent of injuries the resident sustained in the fire were not immediately released.

The person living inside the home that caught fire was also taken to a hospital. Their condition is unknown.
