Honoring fallen Tampa detectives Randy Bell and Ricky Childers

TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - 20 years ago from Saturday, Tampa homicide detectives Randy Bell and Ricky Childers were killed while investigating the shooting death of a four-year-old boy.

The suspect escaped his handcuffs while he was being taken to jail. He shot and killed both detectives.

The son of the fallen officers attended Saturday's memorial. He says that seeing his dad's picture and listening to the circumstances of his death hasn't gotten any easier.
