Homeless shelter in Daytona Beach finished

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A new homeless shelter in Daytona Beach is finished.

According to the Daytona Beach News Journal, the shelter is housed in what was once Hurst Elementary school.

It is an expansion of Halifax Urban Ministries' former family shelter on Ridgewood Avenue. The new facility will be able to house up to 144 families.
