ORLANDO, Fla. - Rep. Anna V. Eskamani has announced she plans to run for Mayor of Orlando.
The Orlando native revealed her decision on Monday morning on X, expressing she's "honored" for the opportunity to guide the city forward.
"Orlando, this morning, I will be filing to run as your next Mayor. I am honored for the opportunity to lead our incredible City Beautiful into the future," she wrote.
Eskamani is expected to hold a news conference outside of City Hall at 8:30 a.m.
