Missing 17-year-old from New Port Richey found safe

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - A statewide Missing Child Alert has been canceled for a 17-year-old girl who had last been seen in New Port Richey, after the teen was found safe.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said the teen had last been seen on the morning of April 9, but the alert was issued on Tuesday.

Investigators canceled the alert Thursday afternoon, saying the girl had been found safe. No other information was released.
