Florida family finds bullet holes, shattered windows in Kissimmee home
KISSIMMEE, Fla. - A couple in Kissimmee is on edge after making a disturbing discovery on New Year's Day.
Speaking exclusively with FOX 35's Kelsie Cairns, a husband who did not want to share his name, says he saw shattered glass and found two bullets inside his home. He says three bullets made their way into his home on Pawnee Trail.
The Osceola Sheriff's Office confirmed to FOX 35 that they responded to a call regarding the gunshots. The husband said he heard six shots.
"We have grandkids that we watch on occasion here and that's where they sleep, and it doesn't really give you a safe feeling," he said.
He gave FOX 35 a tour of the damage inside his home. He said one of the bullets crashed through the window to a bedroom with a bed and crib inside.
"We have babies here sometimes — and it was literally at mattress level," he said.

He says he heard some shots from his living room.
"We were on the sofa watching fireworks right over the trees here from the neighbor and they were shooting off guns rapid fire 'bum-bum-bum' emptying whole clips all at once," he says.
The couple later went out for the night to celebrate at a friend's house and found the damage the next day.
"There was glass all over the front here, on the bed, on the floor," he said.
He turned over the two bullets to the Osceola Sheriff's Office; but was unable to locate the third bullet, he said. The couple believes the bullets all came from a similar direction, feet away from their gas line, gas connection to their backup generator, and a 500-gallon propane tank.
"People need to understand that there is others around you and you could end up killing or injuring. I'm OK with them shooting guns, but take it to the range, be safe about it," he said.
