Florida detective dies after lifelong battle with diabetes
FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - A Florida detective has passed away after a lifelong battle with diabetes.
The Fernandina Beach Police Department posted on Facebook that Detective Matt Douglass passed away on Tuesday at his home in Yulee after a lifelong bout with diabetes.
They said that Matt joined the police department in 2014 and was one of our representatives on the Multi-Agency Narcotics Task Force.
