BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - Officials have reported that a woman's body was pulled from the water Saturday morning off a Florida beach.
Rescuers with the Indian Harbour Beach Fire Department said they responded around 9:30 a.m. to the area of the 2000 block of Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway after receiving multiple 911 calls about a body that was found in the water just north of Eau Gallie Causeway.
Officials stated that rescue crews pulled the woman from the water via Jetski from more than 100 yards offshore.
Life-saving measures were initiated by rescue crews, officials said, but the woman was pronounced dead sometime later at the hospital.
Brevard County Communications Department officials confirmed the body belongs to a middle-aged woman.
