Florida girl found safe after being reported missing in Brevard County

Feb. 3 Update: The 13-year-old Florida girl who was reported missing in Brevard County has been found safe, according to the Melbourne Police Department. Read the latest updates here.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 13-year-old girl from Florida. 

The Satellite Beach Police Department said Avery Rice was last seen Jan. 29 at the Scoops Ice Cream shop in the Atlantic Plaza in the Brevard County area.

Where is Avery Rice?

The backstory:

Police said Avery last was seen on video surveillance around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Scoops.

However, officials reported there have been no confirmed sightings of Avery since then.

What we know:

Police reported Avery to have brown eyes, brown hair and to be wearing braces. Avery is about 4 feet and 10 inches tall, officials stated. 

According to police, she last was seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and black and white shoes.

What you can do:

Avery's family is offering a $10,000 cash reward for any information leading to her whereabouts.
