DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Firefighters battled flames overnight at an apartment complex in Daytona Beach.
The Daytona Beach Fire Department said that crews worked a structure fire around 3:15 a.m. at an apartment complex on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard in Daytona Beach. The fire was found in a first floor unit. Two units received damage from the fire. No occupants were injured. A firefighter was injured on scene though and was transported to the hospital.
The Red Cross was reportedly called to the scene to assist four adults that were dispatched from the fire.
The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical, according to the Daytona Beach Fire Department.
