Fire crews monitor DeBary brush fire, now contained

DEBARY, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Fire crews are keeping an eye on what is left of a 50-acre brush fire in DeBary on Sunday morning.

The fire is believed to have started on Saturday with a lightning strike sparking on West Highbanks Road. Neighbors witnessed large plumes of gray smoke. One neighbor said that ash even fell on her driveway.

Crews said that the fire was at least a mile away from any homes and is now contained within the lines.
