Final invoices from SunPass backlog expected to go out
ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The final invoices from the SunPass backlog are expected to go out this week.
In June 2018, a routine SunPass website upgrade turned into a weeks-long shutdown of the system. When it came back up, drivers say that they were overcharged or left in the dark with how much they were spending on tolls.
1.2 billion invoices have gone out since June. The final 4.4 million will be sent out this week. These will primarily go to drivers who were billed through the toll-by-plate system.
If you get a bill, the state is allowing you to pay in installments.

State lawmakers are still asking the Department of Transporation to hold the contractor, Conduent, accountable for the SunPass problems. They want financial damages and some even want the company that runs the website changed.
Conduent runs the SunPass website. They are contracted to do so for the next three years and nine months. They have also already been fined $780,000 dollars and could face more.
