Festive showers on Christmas Day: Central Florida's weather forecast

Central Floridians waking up to unwrap gifts on Christmas morning can expect dry skies and pleasant conditions to kick off the holiday.

Early risers will enjoy a calm and mild start to the day, perfect for opening presents, sipping hot cocoa or preparing holiday feasts.

If you're getting out and playing with some of those new presents, be sure to watch the sky for a bit of rain.

The showers will remain isolated and short-lived, meaning it won’t be a washout for outdoor festivities. "Not everyone will see the rain, and those who do likely won’t be dealing with it for long," forecasters said.

The high temperature for Christmas Day is expected to reach the mid-to-upper 70s, accompanied by breezy east winds and a mix of clouds.

Despite the cloud cover, the holiday will remain warm and festive for most residents. Rain chances sit at 30%, but the showers are expected to remain scattered and intermittent.

Whether you’re celebrating at the beach, enjoying a family barbecue, or simply relaxing at home, Central Florida's holiday weather promises a mix of warmth, clouds, and a touch of festive drizzle.
