Utah CEO, daughter killed after bulldozer breaks free from tow truck

OGDEN, Utah - A man and a teenage girl were killed over the weekend after a mini bulldozer broke loose from its tow and crushed a nearby vehicle.
Local news outlets identified the victims as 57-year-old Richard David Hendrickson and his 16-year-old daughter.
The Utah Highway Patrol said on Saturday afternoon, a tow truck was carrying a bulldozer, when it broke free as the truck driver tried to make a right-hand curve.
After the bulldozer broke free, it slid off and landed on a GMC pickup with the victims inside the pickup.
Hendrickson's wife and two other children were in the pickup but sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to reports.
Hendrickson was the CEO and president of Lifetime Products in Utah, a company that sells outdoor furniture and equipment.
"Richard was more than a company leader - he was also a visionary and a friend to many within our business and the wider community," the company posted on its website. "His ability to connect with people bound all of his other talents together in a very special way."
