Fatal motorcycle crash kills 1 near Mount Dora, troopers says
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol said a motorcyclist died in a crash that occurred Monday morning in Mount Dora.
Troopers report the crash took place around 6:20 a.m. on Laughlin and Sadler roads.
Officials say preliminary evidence shows a 2017 Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle was traveling westbound on Sadler Road approaching Laughlin Road, while a 2019 Ford E-450 was traveling westbound on Sadler Road approaching Laughlin Road ahead of the motorcycle.

The crash report shows the driver of the Ford stopped and was waiting to make a left turn on Laughlin Road, and the rider of the motorcycle began to pass stopped traffic behind the Ford.
Troopers say the motorcycle did not stop for the Ford that had begun making a left turn ahead, and, as a result, the front of the motorcycle struck the left side of the Ford.

The adult male riding the motorcycle, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead on-scene, officials say.
Reports show the driver of the Ford was not injured and remained on-scene.
Troopers report there currently is roadblock for both lanes of travel on Laughlin and Sadler roads.
Officials report the crash currently remains under investigation.
