Officers who lost their lives in the line of duty are being remembered in our nation's capital this weekend.

A candlelight vigil will be held at the National Mall. Orlando police will be there in honor of Lieutenant Debra Clayton. Clayton was killed while trying to arrest an accused murderer Markeith Loyd in a story parking lot in January 2017.

The families of two fallen Kissimmee officers will also receive a warm welcome in D.C. Officer Matthew Baxter and Sergeant Sam Howard were gunned down while on patrol last August.

129 officers nationwide lost their lives last year.
