Ex-toll agency board member sentenced

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A former Orange County public official was sentenced to seven years in prison on Friday. 

Scott Batterson, 40, used to be a member of the region's expressway authority until he was convicted of bribery back in 2014. Prosecutors argued that Batterson offered a lucrative contract to a consultant in exchange for hiring friends.  Batterson appealed his sentence back in October but was denied.
