Ex-MLB star Albert Belle accused of indecent exposure, DUI
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ/AP) - Former Major League Baseball star Albert Belle was arrested on charges of indecent exposure and DUI at Phoenix Rising Stadium in Scottsdale over the weekend.
According to court documents, Belle was arrested after he was seen urinating in the parking lot of the stadium on Saturday. A witness told police he yelled at Belle for urinating in the parking lot, after which Belle turned around and "shaked his genitals" towards the man and his daughter.
After officers arrived at the stadium, Belle admitted to having a verbal altercation with the man, but denied urinating in public. Officers say while speaking to him, Belle had bloodshot eyes and his breath smelled of alcohol, according to court documents.
Belle was released from jail on Sunday.
The 51-year-old and five-time All-Star played 11 seasons in the major leagues for the Cleveland Indians, the Chicago White Sox and the Baltimore Orioles.
