Deputy shot suspect in Lake County incident

CLERMONT, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Lake County deputies are investigating a deputy-involved shooting in Clermont.

Deputies say it happened on Macon Street on Sunday afternoon.

Deputies were responding to a domestic violence incident when they say a deputy shot the suspect.

Officials say the suspect was armed with a handgun. Investigators say the man was taken to the hospital for treatment. They say no deputies were injured in the incident.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating.
