Deputy frees hawk from snake after would-be meal 'turned the tables'

LAKE MARY, Fla. - Video captured on a body camera worn by a Florida law enforcement officer shows a hawk rescue.

Authorities said that the hawk caught a snake, but that snake wasn't having it, so it attacked right back. The hawk's would-be meal wrapped itself around the bird of prey and started strangling it.

An Alachua County sheriff's deputy intervened in the fight, untangled them, and set them free.
