Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office say an Evans High School student brought onto campus Friday morning.

School resource officers received a tip of an armed student just after noon, and they attempted to make contact with student, who then fled on foot.  SROs summoned the assistance of nearby law enforcement officers who took the student into custody.

Deputies say the 15-year-old student was in possession of a stolen .380 handgun and now faces three felony and one misdemeanor charges.
