Deputies say dogs were killed during burglary

Bo DuBose said he knew something was wrong, when he saw three people going into his neighbor's Bithlo home.

"I'm calling 911," he said.

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office say Debra Perez's home had been burglarized.  The said three people ransacked her place.

"They stole my laptop, tablet, my phone, my two guns, like around 2,000 rounds of ammunition," Perez explained.

But that's not the worst of it for Perez.  Deputies said the intruders also killed two of her dogs. She had 11 Chihuahua puppies, but now, only nine remain.

"I looked and there was two of them that were dead. One was all blood in the face, beautiful little guy," she said.

Deputies arrested Kimberly Willoughby, Austin Mather, and his sister, Emily Mather --  all three are charged with cruelty to animals, grand theft and armed burglary.

Perez said two of the suspects lived in the home she rented out.  She added that her puppies were only three weeks old.

"It breaks her heart knowing her babies are gone," DuBose said.  "She wants justice."
