Deputies: Man arrested in connection to carjacking

Orange County deputies say a carjacking suspect was arrested today and he could be connected to other carjackings in Central Florida.

18-year-old Ernest Nobles is behind bars again, charged with carjacking a woman. Deputies say he rammed the victim's car and then pushed her to the ground after she got out to look at the damage. It happened at Apopka Vineland and Point Cypress Drive. The victim called for help and deputies later located Nobles with the stolen Lexus.

Orange County resident Jamie Jackson says, "That's awesome but that doesn't mean there's still going to be people doing the same thing so I'm still going to keep my guard up."

Nobles was out on a $10,000 bond, after being arrested for grand theft in Volusia County on November 15th. Deputies say that stolen vehicle, had been carjacked, along Conroy Windermere Road, just a few miles from where Tuesday night's carjacking occurred.

Deputies say in both cases, the victim's cars were hit from behind. When they got out of their cars to exchange, they were pushed to the ground and carjacked.

According to investigators, a 16 and 17-year-old are also being questioned in the carjacking cases.

They want to remind everyone to stay in their cars and call 911 first, before stepping out after an accident. Some drivers like Jackson say, they'll follow that advice.

"Probably make sure not to get out of my car. Call authorities immediately, even though that's tempting when you have someone in your car, you want to get out, see the damages, access what's going on. I'll think twice about doing something like that."

And investigators say more charges could occur as they talk to more victims.
