TAMPA, Fla. - Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting that happened outside the Citrus Park Town Center Mall near Tampa on Saturday night.
Just after 7:00 p.m., HCSO received a 911 call about shots fired outside the mall. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Peter Hyman with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Officials say he was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he died.

According to deputies, a group was eating when a fight broke out.
"I don't know if they knew each other. I knew that they were eating, and a fight broke out. I don't know exactly the nature of that. Our detectives are getting to the bottom of that," shared Maurer.
Investigators say Hyman was shot outside the front entrance of Red Robin.
"This senseless act of violence not only robbed a family of their loved one but caused unnecessary fear and trauma to dozens of people who were just trying to enjoy their Saturday night at the mall," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Our detectives are using every resource available to hold those responsible for this tragedy accountable."
The investigation is active and ongoing.
