Man walking along Florida Turnpike near I-4 hit, killed by car, semi: FHP
ORLANDO, Fla. - A man is dead after he was struck by two vehicles while walking along the Florida Turnpike in Orange County Thursday morning, according to troopers.
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said the crash happened at approximately 3:43 a.m. northbound on the Turnpike at mile marker 261, north of Interstate 4.
All northbound lanes were shut down for hours in the area as troopers investigated. The lanes have since reopened.

In a news release, troopers said a 2024 Hyundai Kona and a 2015 Volvo semi were traveling northbound on the Turnpike when a man walking along the lane entered the direct path of the Hyundai.
As a result, the Hyundai collided with the man, causing him to land in the semi's lane where he was also hit, troopers said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
