FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Flagler County Sheriff's Office said that they are currently investigating cases of counterfeit $100 dollar bills being used.
They say that the counterfeit bills are marked with "REPLICA" and "TO BE USED FOR MOTION PICTURES."
The sheriff's office wants the community to be mindful of the ues of counterfeit currency within Flagler County. They recommend that before accepting any payment, currency should be checked for authenticity. Each U.S. currency bill has several security features to verify authenticity. They suggest anyone accepting money become familiar with these features and ensure the currency is real before accepting it as payment.
