LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Disney may be opening up to the idea of paying it's employees $15 an hour, a wage that Disney employees have been fight for.
The union representing Disney's 34,000 employees is set to head back to the bargaining table this week and they could be closer to getting what they want, as The Walt Disney Company just offered to give it's California theme park workers a raise over the next three years. About 30,000 employees would go up to $15 an hour over the next three years.
The move also comes after Vermont Senator and 2016 presidential candidate Bernie Sanders rallied with Disney employees over the weekend.
Contract negotiations here in Disney World are expected to pick back up later this week.
