COCOA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Patrol officers and detectives with the Cocoa Police Department are investigating a shooting that left a man dead.
At 9:11 p.m., police say that dispatchers received a 911 call from an individual who reported seeing the victim collapse on the sidewalk in front of the baseball fields on the north side of Rosetine Street. The caller reported hearing a single gunshot and soon after, saw the victim, identified as 22-year-old Davante Isaiah Brown, collapse. He was pronounced deceased by 9:50 p.m.
Detectives are asking that anyone with any information come forward. Anyone who can help identify a suspect(s) is eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 through CrimeLine at 1-800-423-TIPS.
