Cocoa police investigate home inavsion

Two people were shot inside their home in what police say was a targeted home invasion. 

Witnesses say two unknown suspects wearing masks entered the home just after 2 a.m. on Hughlett Avenue in Cocoa and began shooting. 

Police say one victim in his 20s was shot multiple times and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. A second victim was shot just once, but was conscious and alert when police arrived. 

A third victim, a neighbor who tried to intervene was also shot as the suspects fled, police say. 

Police are looking for any nearby businesses who may have had exterior security cameras to contact them to help identify the suspects.
