18 children officially adopted in Florida courthouse during holiday celebration
MARION COUNTY, Fla. - Eighteen children were officially adopted last week in Marion County during the annual "Home for the Holidays" celebration.
The Fifth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida says Circuit Judge Stacy M. Youmans presided over the adoptions Dec. 13 at the Marion County Courthouse.
Those in attendance at the annual ceremony also included local and state politicians, judges, attorneys, dignitaries from Kids Central Inc., and well-wishers welcoming the families.

The holiday adoption included festive decorations, holiday music, presents, and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Families adopting the children also received a signed adoption certificate and an ornament with their family name.
